How to make parrelel lines

You first draw a bace. And then you draw anouther line on an angle above it. Now that you've done that take your compace and make it kind of small and put an arc. On the top of that arc you put your compace where the line and the arc meats.and you draw anouther arc. Take your compace and measure the first arc and put it on the first arc and make an x with the second arc you made. Now that you've done that take your ruler and put a straight line and that line should be parallel with the first line you made.

Complementary and Suppplementary angles

A complementary angle is two angles whose sum adds up to 90 degrees/ a right angle.
A supplementary is two angles whose sum adds up to 180 degrees/ a straight angle.

Rules when figuring out angles and parrelelagraml lines

Some rules when figuring out angles and parallel lines without a protractor are:

  • Oppossite angles and equal
  • Straight lines equal 180 degrees
These two rules with help you get things right!

Angles

There are five different types of angles.

Acute angle (under 90 degrees)
Right angle (exactly 90 degrees)
Obtuse angle (between 90 degrees and 180 degrees)
Straight angle (exactly 180 degrees)
Reflex angle (between 180 degrees and 360 degrees)

Classifying Angles

We name angles according to their size.

  • An acute angle measures less than 90 degrees
  • A right angle measures exactly 90 degrees
  • An obtuse angle measures between 90 and 180 degrees
  • A straight angle measures 180 degrees
  • A reflex angle measures between 180 and 360 degrees

Angles

When you are classifying angles names you will hear are.....

-Acute Angle
-Obtuse Angle
-Right Angle
-Reflex Angle
